Podcast Interview with Dr. Daniel Steiner - “Silent burden: Unveiling the overlooked psychological impact of VTE”

On the occasion of World Thrombosis Day on October 13, 2024, Dr. Daniel Steiner from the Department of Hematology and Hemostasis, Thrombosis and Haemostasis Research Group, was interviewed for the podcast "ISTH The Pulse" by the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH).

In addition to the psychological consequences of venous thromboembolism, his personal experiences and challenges as a researcher in the early stages of his career, as well as his recently published work "Anxiety in patients with venous thromboembolism: quantification and risk factors in a prospective cohort study," were discussed. This prospective study, published in the top journal Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (IF: 5.5), examines the occurrence of anxiety following venous thromboembolism and associated risk factors.
