Mobile phones can cause interference with medical devices. For safety reasons, use of mobile phones, smartphones, tablets and similar devices by relatives is strictly prohibited in the intensive care unit. Please switch electronic devices to flight mode or turn them off completely before your visit.
We ask for your understanding that we cannot accept any liability for any items left in the cloakroom or other valuables that you bring onto the Unit with you.

In einigen Fällen kann die kontrollierte Anlage eines Luftröhrenschnittes für die Beatmung sinnvoll sein („Tracheotomie“). Dabei handelt es sich um einen etwa halbstündigen Routine-Eingriff, welcher z.B. bei langer Beatmungsdauer eingesetzt wird. Der normale Beatmungsschlauch kann dann aus Mund und Rachen entfernt werden. Die Patient:innen können dann über einen kleineren Schlauch durch den Hals beatmet werden.
Um eine gleichmäßige Sauerstoffverteilung innerhalb der künstlich beatmeten Lunge zu gewährleisten, werden Lagerungstherapien durchgeführt. Seitenlagerungen sowie Lagerung auf den Bauch sind ein normaler und wichtiger Bestandteil unserer Behandlung und sollten Sie nicht beunruhigen.
