Career
- 1991 Andrea Tötschinger successfully completed her training as a qualified general nurse at University Hospital Vienna.
- Until 2019 she worked at the BMT ward 21J at University Hospital Vienna, playing a key role in the development and formulation of quality standards thanks to her many years of expertise in the field of stem cell transplant care. Her responsibilities at the Unit included providing practical guidance and implementing the pain project.
- She is also involved in the AHOP-BMT working group which aims to ensure a comprehensive quality standard throughout Austria.
- From 2019 to 2021 Andrea Tötschinger worked at Intensive Care Unit 13i2, specialising in the following areas:
- Haemato-oncological diseases
- Acute lung failure
- Extracorporeal gas exchange procedures
- In Nov 2021 she took up the role of specialist care coordinator at Bone Marrow Transplant Unit 21j
