Sabine Altrichter has studied medicine at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria and has worked in her thesis on autoreactivity in atopic dermatitis in the lab of Prof. Georg Stingl. She then moved to Berlin and did her training as dermatologist and allergologist at the Department of Dermatology and Allergology, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany in the group of Prof. Marcus Maurer. There, her research has focussed on translational studies in the field of chronic urticaria and cholinergic urticaria. Since 2021 she is senior physician at the dermatology department of the comprehensive allergy center of the Kepler University Hospital in Linz, Austria. Her research interests are focussed on IgE-mediated pathomechanisms in allergic and inflammatory diseases.
